The Truth About Spiritual Awakening: A Journey of Rebirth, Isolation, and Higher Consciousness

What Does It Really Mean to Be Spiritually Awakened? Spiritual awakening is often misunderstood. Some think it’s about joining a religion, meditating under a tree, or living like a monk in the mountains. But let me tell you—it's none of that. Spiritual awakening is a process of waking up from the illusion of the world. It’s like shedding an old skin, a rebirth into a new self, seeing life through fresh eyes as if you were just born. When you awaken, everything you once believed in starts to crumble. The labels, the expectations, the need for validation—they all become meaningless. You begin to question everything, including yourself. Who am I? Why am I here? What is the purpose of all this? And most importantly, why does the world seem so... absurd? My Personal Awakening Story For me, awakening wasn’t gentle—it was a storm. I remember the exact moment everything shifted. It was after a painful heartbreak, followed by losing my job and realizing that the people I trusted the most we...

Who Are You? A Deep Dive into Your True Self

A person looking into a mirror, discovering their deeper self.

Look in the Mirror: Who Do You See?

Stand in front of a mirror. Look closely—really look. Stare into your own eyes. Can you see it? Can you feel it? That’s you. Not your name, not your profession, not the titles you’ve acquired, not the money in your bank account. That’s the real you, the presence beneath all the labels.

Beneath your skin, behind your eyes, deeper than your thoughts—there is something more. A silent witness. The spirit that animates your body. Your body is not who you are. It’s just the house that shelters your spirit in this lifetime. Your face, your voice, your experiences—these are just temporary expressions of your existence, like a wave forming on the ocean's surface. But the wave is never separate from the ocean, and neither are you from the source of all things.

The Ego, The Id, and The Superego: The Psychological Perspective

Sigmund Freud introduced the concepts of the id, ego, and superego to explain human behavior. These three elements govern how we see ourselves and how we interact with the world.

  • The Id is our most primitive self, the raw desires, instincts, and impulses we were born with.

  • The Superego is the internalized set of moral standards and societal expectations that dictate right and wrong.

  • The Ego is the mediator, the part of us that balances the id and superego, allowing us to function in society while meeting our own needs.

Most people live ruled by the ego, crafting a persona that fits the world’s expectations. But who are you when you silence the noise of society? If you lost your wealth, your job, your achievements—what would be left?

Spirituality and the True Self

In many spiritual traditions, the concept of the higher self is the essence of who you are. It is the unchanging, eternal part of you beyond the ego. This is the self that remains when all worldly attachments fade.

We are all connected—think of the sun and solar panels. The sun provides energy to many sources, just as we are all connected to one divine source, experiencing life in different ways. Or imagine an electricity provider that supplies power to countless homes—each receiving energy from the same place, yet appearing separate. That’s us. We are all different versions of the same source, experiencing life uniquely, but ultimately, we are one.

This is why belittling others is belittling yourself. You are me, and I am you. How you treat others is a reflection of how you treat yourself.

Why We Forget Our True Nature?

If we remembered our divine connection at all times, we wouldn’t fully engage with this reality. We incarnate into different bodies, forgetting past lives, forgetting different realms, so we can fully experience this one. Imagine watching a movie while constantly reminding yourself it’s not real—you wouldn’t enjoy the story. That’s why we must immerse ourselves in this life while still seeking truth.

But what about materialism? So many chase wealth, status, and possessions as if they define them. Yet, we will all return to the earth one day. Our bodies will decay. Our money will stay behind. What will matter then? What kind of soul have you nurtured?

You Are One with the Source

The idea of separateness is an illusion. You are not just an individual; you are a manifestation of the same source energy, experiencing life through different perspectives. There is no "other"—only different versions of you walking the earth. Every person you meet, every interaction you have, is a reflection of you in another form.

Just as one sun fuels multiple solar panels, one divine essence flows through each of us. We may appear different, but we are fundamentally the same energy, vibrating at various frequencies, experiencing existence in unique ways.

This is why there is no "soulmate" or "twin soul." We are not halves searching for completion; we are already whole. The love you seek is within you because every version of you across the world is interconnected.

Let Go of Material Attachments—We All Return to the Earth

Everything you own—your car, your house, your money—will not go with you when you die. Your body will return to the earth, and your consciousness will move on. Clinging to material things only strengthens the illusion that they define you.

If you lost everything today—your job, your money, your possessions—who would you be? Would you still hold your head high? Would you still see value in yourself? Or would you crumble because you tied your worth to things that were never truly yours to begin with?

You are not your wealth. You are not your social status. You are the observer behind it all, the soul experiencing life through a temporary vessel.

Find Your True Self

If you want to connect with your true self, start here:

  • Stand in front of a mirror. Look into your own eyes. See yourself beyond your physical form.

  • Spend time in silence. Meditate. Listen to your thoughts without identifying with them.

  • Ask yourself: Who am I without my name, my job, my money?

  • Treat others as yourself, because they are you in another form.

  • Let go of the need to be “more” or “better.” You already are everything you need to be.
